Nils Rokke
Nils A. Røkke is the executive vice president of sustainability at SINTEF, the largest research institute in Norway currently employing over 2000 people. He has been a member of the management board of SINTEF since 2008. Prior to becoming executive vice president, he was the head of SINTEF’s European office in Brussels.
Furthermore, Røkke is president of the European Energy Research Alliance (EERA), which has 250 partners from energy research institutes and universities in 30 European countries with more than 50.000 people engaged in energy research.
He is also member of the European zero emission power (ZEP) advisory council and the chairman of the Clean Hydrogen Partnership Stakeholders Group.
In 2002 he was vice president of gas technologies and director of the gas technology centre NTNU-SINTEF. Previously, he was working as gas turbine design and development manager for Rolls Royce Marine. Nils has a MSc. in mechanical engineering and a PhD in thermal energy and combustion from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
