Matthias Bruchhausen
Matthias Bruchhausen has studied Physics at the universities Düsseldorf (D) and Nantes (F). He holds a PhD in plasma physics for research carried out at the Research Centre Jülich (D) and the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics in Garching (D). His professional experience includes a post-doc at Laboratory of Energies Theoretical and Applied Mechanics in Nancy (F) and industrial R&D at OSRAM in Berlin (D).
Matthias came to the JRC in Petten (NL) in 2009 where he participated in several Horizon projects on materials research for nuclear applications. In 2021, he transferred to the Hydrogen and Batteries Unit where he joined the team working on the sustainable battery Regulation. His focus is on performance and durability of batteries and standardization aspects.
