Julian Blanco

Julian Blanco, (Engineer by Seville Univ., PhD by Almeria University; Research Professor of Spanish Ministry of Research and Innovation), is currently the Director of Plataforma Solar de Almeria (PSA) and alternate Spanish member of the Executive Committee of IEA-SolarPACES Program. He has more than 30 years of experience working at Plataforma Solar de Almeria (CIEMAT) on CSP-related topics. He has been involved in around 60 International and National R&D+i projects (coordinating 18). He is the author/coauthor of nearly 100 peer-reviewed SCI publications, 10 full books as well as 24 chapters in others. He also has 5 patents, more than 70 keynotes and invited conferences to International Congresses and Symposiums, being awarded in 2004 with the “Grand European Prix for Innovation Awards”. Since 2016 he is also involved in SET-Plan activities, actively collaborating on the CSP Implementation Plan definition and updating.
